Among previous RSA filter benefits are the use of a stainless steel wire mesh. As compared to competitors epoxy-coated steel/aluminum, Stainless steel provides corrosion resistance while adding rigidity to the entire filter assembly. The use of deep pleats improves airflow throught he element and increases filter surface area. RSA uses a medical grade cotton gauze that has a more consistent weave (than standard gauze) and provides greated longevity.
